One of the “Censored 11” banned from T.V. syndication by United Artists in 1968, the Merrie Melodies short, Sunday Go to Meetin’ Time, directed by Friz Freleng, was released on this date.
The plot of this cartoon is similar to the earlier Goin’ to Heaven on a Mule and the later Wholly Smoke. The former is so similar that this short could be considered a remake of it.
