The British sci-fi film Quatermass 2 (AKA Enemy From Space), directed by Val Guest and starring Brian Donlevy, John Longden, Sid James, Bryan Forbes, Vera Day, and William Franklyn, was release in the US on this date.
In between takes Brian Donlevy’s toupée was accidentally blown off by the aeroplane engine wind machines used during the film’s climax.
