The Looney Tunes short, Big House Bunny directed by Friz Freleng and starring Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam, debuted on this date.
This is the first cartoon where Yosemite Sam is portrayed as a henchman to an overarching antagonist, in this case the prison warden, as opposed to being the main antagonist of the Bugs Bunny cartoon he appears in as usual.
