The Beatles appeared on their first own variety show, Around the Beatles, which was broadcast in Britian on the ITV channel on this date.
The Beatles‘ songs were pre-recorded at IBC Studios nine days before the show. They lip-synced and mimed their performances. For Love Me Do, John Lennon does not have a harmonica so he pretends to play one by putting his hands over his mouth.
