CBS TV forced Tom Selleck to stop offering free mustache rides when the final episodes of Magnum P.I., Resolution Parts 1 and 2 aired on this date.
Other than the four main actors (Tom Selleck, John Hillerman, Roger E. Mosley, and Larry Manetti), Jeff MacKay is the only other actor to appear in the series pilot (as a Marine named Ski) and the series finale (as Jim Bonnick).
